TAL RUGGED X – SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY
Last Updated: September 2026
This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to orders placed through the TAL Rugged X online store.
By placing an order with TAL Rugged X, the customer agrees to the terms below together with our Terms of Service and Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy.
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights a customer may have under applicable South African consumer legislation.
1. DELIVERY AREA
TAL Rugged X offers courier delivery throughout South Africa, subject to courier service availability.
Certain remote, rural or outlying areas may attract additional courier charges or extended delivery times.
Where delivery to a specific location is unavailable through our standard courier network, we will contact the customer to discuss available options.
International or cross-border delivery is not automatically included unless specifically agreed with TAL Rugged X.
2. SHIPPING CHARGES
Shipping charges are calculated based on factors including:
-
Delivery location;
-
Product size;
-
Product weight;
-
Number of items;
-
Packaging requirements; and
-
Courier service selected.
Applicable delivery charges will normally be displayed during checkout or communicated to the customer before dispatch.
Certain products may require a customised courier quotation due to their size or weight.
Large items such as canopies, roller shutter lids, sports bars, tow bars or other oversized accessories may not qualify for standard shipping rates.
3. ORDER PROCESSING
Orders will generally only be processed once full payment has been received and confirmed, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Orders placed over weekends, public holidays or outside normal business hours will normally be processed on the next business day.
Processing time is separate from courier delivery time.
4. DISPATCH TIMES
Where products are in stock, TAL Rugged X aims to dispatch orders as soon as reasonably possible.
Typical dispatch may take approximately 1–3 business days, depending on:
-
Stock availability;
-
Order volume;
-
Product preparation;
-
Packaging requirements;
-
Payment verification; and
-
Courier collection schedules.
This is an estimate and not a guaranteed dispatch period.
5. DELIVERY TIMES
Once an order has been dispatched, delivery will depend on the destination and courier service.
Typical South African delivery times may range from approximately 1–5 business days after dispatch.
Remote or outlying areas may take longer.
Courier delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed unless specifically stated.
6. PRE-ORDER AND SPECIAL-ORDER ITEMS
Products marked as:
-
Pre-order;
-
Special order;
-
Back order;
-
Imported to order; or
-
Custom manufactured
will have longer lead times.
Any estimated arrival or dispatch date supplied for these items is an estimate only.
Lead times may be affected by:
-
Manufacturing delays;
-
Supplier delays;
-
International freight;
-
Customs clearance;
-
Port congestion;
-
Flight or shipping delays;
-
Public holidays; and
-
Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where there is a significant change to an estimated lead time, TAL Rugged X will make reasonable efforts to inform the customer.
7. STOCK AVAILABILITY
All orders are subject to stock availability.
Although we make reasonable efforts to keep our inventory accurate, stock discrepancies may occasionally occur.
If a product becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we will contact the customer regarding available options.
These may include:
-
Waiting for replenishment;
-
Selecting an alternative product; or
-
Receiving a refund for the unavailable item.
No materially different product will be substituted without the customer's approval.
8. DELIVERY ADDRESS
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Please ensure that the following information is correct:
-
Recipient name;
-
Street address;
-
Suburb;
-
City or town;
-
Province;
-
Postal code; and
-
Contact telephone number.
TAL Rugged X will not be responsible for delays caused by incorrect, incomplete or outdated delivery information supplied by the customer.
9. ADDRESS CHANGES
If a customer needs to change a delivery address, TAL Rugged X must be contacted as soon as possible.
Once an order has been dispatched, we cannot guarantee that the delivery address can be changed.
Any additional courier fees resulting from an address change requested by the customer may be charged to the customer.
10. COURIER DELIVERY
Orders are delivered using independent third-party courier companies.
Once dispatched, delivery is subject to the operational processes of the courier company.
Customers should ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to receive the parcel.
Couriers may require:
-
A signature;
-
Recipient verification; or
-
Proof of delivery.
A parcel recorded as delivered by the courier may be considered delivered unless evidence indicates otherwise.
11. DELIVERY ATTEMPTS
If the courier is unable to deliver because:
-
No one is available;
-
Access to the property is restricted;
-
The delivery address is incorrect;
-
The recipient cannot be contacted; or
-
The recipient refuses delivery,
the courier may make another delivery attempt or return the parcel.
Additional courier charges caused by unsuccessful delivery attempts resulting from customer-related circumstances may be charged to the customer where legally permissible.
12. TRACKING INFORMATION
Where tracking is available, TAL Rugged X may provide the customer with a tracking number or tracking link after dispatch.
Tracking updates are generated by the courier company and may not always update immediately.
Customers should contact TAL Rugged X if there is a significant issue with the delivery.
13. COURIER DELAYS
TAL Rugged X makes reasonable efforts to dispatch orders promptly but cannot directly control third-party courier operations.
Delivery may be affected by:
-
Severe weather;
-
Road closures;
-
Vehicle breakdowns;
-
Strikes;
-
Civil unrest;
-
Public holidays;
-
Peak-season demand;
-
System failures;
-
Natural disasters; or
-
Other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a delay occurs, TAL Rugged X will make reasonable efforts to assist the customer in obtaining an update from the courier.
This does not limit any statutory rights the customer may have regarding delivery.
14. LOST PARCELS
If a parcel appears to have been lost in transit, please contact TAL Rugged X.
We may lodge an investigation with the relevant courier company.
Customers may be requested to provide supporting information or complete courier documentation.
Where a parcel is confirmed as lost, TAL Rugged X will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances of the order.
15. DAMAGED PARCELS
Customers should inspect their parcel as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If the outer packaging appears damaged, customers are strongly encouraged to photograph the parcel before opening it.
If the product is damaged during delivery, please contact TAL Rugged X promptly.
Please provide clear photographs showing:
-
The external courier packaging;
-

-

-

-

Please retain all packaging until the claim has been resolved.
16. INCORRECT PRODUCTS RECEIVED
If TAL Rugged X sends a product different from the product ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
We will assess the order and arrange the appropriate remedy.
Where the incorrect product was supplied by TAL Rugged X, the customer will not be expected to bear return courier costs where applicable consumer law places that responsibility on us.

19. COLLECTION ORDERS
Where collection is offered, customers must wait until TAL Rugged X confirms that the order is ready before arriving to collect it.
Customers may be requested to provide:
-
Order confirmation;
-
Proof of identity; or
-
Proof of payment.
Collection times may need to be arranged in advance.
20. FITMENT ORDERS
Where an order includes fitment by TAL Rugged X, the product may be held for the scheduled installation appointment instead of being couriered.
Fitment appointments are subject to availability and confirmation.
Customers should not assume that an online purchase automatically confirms a specific fitment date unless the booking has been confirmed by TAL Rugged X.
21. COURIER COLLECTION ARRANGED BY CUSTOMER
Where TAL Rugged X agrees that a customer may arrange their own courier or freight provider, responsibility for the transport arrangement will transfer according to the terms agreed between TAL Rugged X and the customer and subject to applicable law.
